ব্যাখ্যা: Since যুক্ত Sentence এর প্রথম clause টি Simple past হলে পরবর্তি clause টি past perfect tense হবে।
আমাদের প্রদত্ত incompleted Sentence টিতে Since এর পূর্বের Clauseও টি past simple/past indefinite. অতএব দ্বিতীয় Clsuse টি Past perfect tense এ complete করতে হবে।
যেমন:
Incomplete: It was many years since we–
Complete: It was many years since we had met last.
Incomplete: It was five years since…..
Complete: It was five years since I had met you last.
Answer-1: It was five years since I had met you last.
কিন্তু Since যুক্ত sentence এর প্রথম Cleanse টি simple present বা present perfect হলে পরবর্তি clause টি Simple past tense হয়। যেমন:
Incomplete: It is five years since…..

ব্যাখ্যা: It is time/It is high time এর পরে যদি Subject থাকে, তবে উক্ত Subject এর পরের Verb এর past form + ext. হয় ।
আর এই Structure টি কোন কাজ করার উপযুক্ত সময় পার হয়ে গেছে, এরূপ অর্থে ব্যবহৃত হয়। আমাদের প্রশ্নে প্রদত্ত Sentence টিতে It is high time এরপর Subject- we আছে। সুতরাং এই প্রশ্নে উত্তর হবে নিন্মরূপ।
যেমন:
Incomplete: It is high time we—-
Complete: It is high time we stopped polluting our water.
Incomplete: It is time we—-
Complete: It is time we met the chairman.
Answer-2: It is high time we stopped polluting our water.
কিন্তু যদি It is time এরপর subject না থাকে, তবে to+ verb এর base form + ( other word)
অর্থ্যাৎ It is time + (for+ noun/pronoun) to+ verb এর base form + ( other word)
যেমন:
Incomplete: It is time …….
Complete: It is time to start the work.
Incomplete: It is time for you …….
Complete: It is time for you to work hard.

ব্যাখ্যা: প্রদত্ত প্রশ্নটি lest যুক্ত একটি Sentence. Lest অর্থ ‘যাতে না ঘটে’, ‘পাছে ভয় পায় যে’ এরূপ।
Lest যুক্ত Sentence কে Complete করতে- প্রদত্ত Sentence এর প্রথম থেকে Lest পর্যন্ত বসবে এরপর subject বসবে।
এরপর should/might এবং verb এর Present form + other words. lest negative অর্থ প্রকাশ করে। অতএব lest দ্বারা যে Clause হয় তাতে No/not বসে না।
গঠণ: প্রথম থেকে Lest পর্যন্ত বসে + subject + should/might + verb এর Present form + other words.
যেমন:
Incomplete: Be attentive lest—-
Complete: Be attentive lest you should fail the test.
Incomplete: Read attentively lest ……..
Complete: Read attentively test you should fall in the exam.র্

ব্যাখ্যা: Subordinate clause টিতে Had + subject + verb এর past participle থাকলে Principle clause টি perfect conditional হয়।
অর্থ্যাৎ Sub + would have/could have/might have +V3+ext হয়।
সুতরাং এখানে Answer হবে: Had I the wings of a bird I would fly away.

ব্যাখ্যা: So that যুক্ত Sentence কে complete করতে So that এরপর Subject+ may/ may not/can/ cannot, could/could not, might/might not + Verb এর Basic Form + Ext বসবে।
বি.দ্র. so that এর পূর্বের অংশে Present Tense হলে so that এরপর can/cannot/may/may not বসবে।
কিন্তু so that এর পূর্বে Past tense হলে so that এরপর could/could not/might/might not বসবে।
যেমন:
Incomplete: We must work hard so that—-
Complete: We must work hard so that we can overcome these obstacles.
Incomplete: We eat food so that……
Complete: We eat food so that we can get strength.
