Cricket is an (a) — (pre-modify the noun) game. It is not a game of (b) —- (use possessive to pre-modify the noun) country. A (c) —- (use a noun adjective to pre-modify the noun) match is played between two teams. (d) — (use a distributive pronoun to pre-modify the noun) team consists of eleven players. A cricket field must be (e) —- (post-modify the noun). It requires two wooden bats, a ball & two sets of stamps.

(f) —- (use a numeral adjective to pre-modify the noun) umpires conduct the game. Sometimes, a third umpire is required (g) —– (use an infinitive to post-modify the verb) an acute confusion. (h) —– (use a participle to pre-modify the noun) the opportunity, the batter hits the ball away at a good distance and runs to the opposite wicket. If (i) —- (use an indefinite pronoun to pre-modify the noun) batter is out, next batter comes in his place. Both teams try (j) —– (use an adverbial phrase to post modify) to out all batters of the opposite.

1.Cricket is an (a) — (pre-modify the noun) game.
ব্যাখ্যা: এই লাইনটিতে বলা হয়েছে (pre-modify the noun). মানে game- Noun এর পূর্বে একটি Modifier বসাতে বলা হয়েছে।
আমরা জানি Noun এর পূর্বে Adjective বসে। অতএব এখানে Adjective- international বসবে। Cricket is an (a) international game.
বাংলা অর্থ: ‘ক্রিকেট একটি আন্তর্জাতিক খেলা’।

2. It is not a game of (b) —- (use possessive to pre-modify the noun) country.
ব্যাখ্যা: গ্যাপ (b) তে বলা হয়েছে (use possessive to pre-modify the noun). অর্থ্যাৎ country- noun কে Pre-modify করার জন্য একটি Possessive Adjective ব্যবহার করতে হবে।
Possessive Adjective হলো my, our, your, his, her, their ইত্যাদি।
It is not a game of (b) our country.
বাংলা অর্থ: ‘এটি আমাদের দেশের খেলা নয়’।

3. A (c) —- (use a noun adjective to pre-modify the noun) match is played between two teams.
ব্যাখ্যা: এই গ্যাপটিতে বলা হয়েছে (use a noun adjective to pre-modify the noun). অর্থ্যাৎ এখানে যে Match- noun টি রয়েছে, তার পূর্বে আরেকটি Noun Adjective বসিয়ে match কে Pre-modify করতে হবে।
Noun Adjective: যখন একটি Noun এর পূর্বে অন্য একটি Noun ব্যবহৃত হয়ে প্রথম Noun টি দ্বিতীয় Noun কে Modify করে, তখন প্রথম Noun কে দ্বিতীয় Noun এর Noun Adjective বলে।
অতএব আমরা Match- noun এর পূর্বে আরেকটি সংঙ্গাতিপূর্ণ Noun বসাবো। এই Passage টি যেহেতু Cricket খেলা নিয়ে। তাই এখানে Cricket ব্যবহার করবো।

ব্যাখ্যা: এখানে বলা হচ্ছে team- noun কে Pre-modify করার জন্য distributive Pronoun ব্যবহার করতে হবে।
Distributive pronoun হলো: Each, either, neither. প্রত্যেকটি আলাদা আলাদা বোঝাতে each ব্যবহৃত হয়।
(d) each team consists of eleven players.
বাংলা অর্থ: ‘ প্রতিটি দল এগারো জন খেলোয়ার নিয়ে গঠিত’।

ব্যাখ্যা: আমাদের বলা হয়েছে (post-modify the noun) . অর্থ্যাৎ এই sentence টিতে একটু আগে ব্যবহৃত field কে Post-modify করতে হবে। যেহেতু Noun কে Post-modify করতে হবে। তাই গ্যাপে Adjective ব্যবহার করতে হবে।
A cricket field must be (e) well-maintained.

ব্যাখ্যা: বাংলা অর্থ- ‘এই খেলায় দুটি কাঠের ব্যাট, একটি বল এবং দুই সেট স্ট্যাম্প প্রয়োজন হয়’।
এই লাইনটিতে কোন গ্যাপ নাই । তাই এখানে আমাদের আলোচনার কিছু না।

7. (f) —- (use a numeral adjective to pre-modify the noun) umpires conduct the game.
ব্যাখ্যা: এখানে বলা হয়েছে একটি numeral adjective দিয়ে umpires- noun কে pre-modify করতে।
** যে Adjective, Noun-এর সংখ্যা, ক্রমিক অবস্থান বা পর্যায় বোঝায়, তাকে Numeral Adjective বলে। 3 types of Numeral Adjective :
- Cardinal: One, Two, Three etc.
- Ordinal: First, Second, Third, Last etc.
- Multiplicative: Single, Double, Threefold etc.
দেখেন umpires শব্দটি Plural. তাছাড়া আমরা জানি ক্রিকেট খেলায় on field দুজন আম্পায়ার খেলা পরিচালনা করেন। অতএব এখান Numeral Adjective হিসেবে two ব্যবহৃত হবে।
(f) Two umpires conduct the game.

8. Sometimes, a third umpire is required (g) —– (use an infinitive to post-modify the verb) an acute confusion.
ব্যাখ্যা: infinitive ব্যবহার করে Required- verb কে post-modify করতে হবে। Infinitive মানে হলো To + verb এর basic form.
লাইনটির বাংলা অর্থ- ‘মাঝেমাঝে অতিমাত্রায় কনিফিউশন সমাধান করতে একজন থার্ড আম্পায়ার প্রয়োজন হয়’।
এখানে Infinitive হিসেবে to resolve/clear ব্যবহার করা যায়।

ব্যাখ্যা: এখান the opportunity- noun কে pre-modify করতে participle ব্যবহার করতে বলা হয়েছে।
Participle মানে verb এরসাথে ing যোাগ করতে হবে।

10. If (i) —- (use an indefinite pronoun to pre-modify the noun) batter is out, next batter comes in his place.
ব্যাখ্যা: বলা হয়েছে Indefinite Pronoun দিয়ে batter- noun কে করতে হবে।
Indefinite Pronoun: যে Pronoun-গুলো কোনো ব্যক্তি বা কোনো জিনিসকে সুনির্দিষ্ট করে বলে না, তাকে Indefinite Pronoun বলে। যেমন: Any, one, some, many, none, much, another ইত্যাদি।
বাংলা অর্থ করলে আমরা আরো ভালোভবে বুঝতে পারবো- ‘যদি কোন বেটার আউট হয়ে যায়, তবে তার জায়গায় পরবর্তী বেটার আসেন’।
অতএব এখানে Indefinite Pronoun হিসেবে Any ব্যবহৃত হবে।

ব্যাখ্যা: এখানে Adverbial Phrase দিয়ে try- Verb কে post-modify করতে বলা হয়েছে। আমরা hard enough কে Adverbial Phrase হিসেবে ব্যবহার করতে পারি।
