20th August, Narayanganj: “New generation should follow the lifestyle of father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman as Bangabandhu’s life is full of dedication, sacrifice and patriotism and he always thought for the betterment of people and country,” said Manjurul Alam, Assistant Post Master General (APMG) of Narayanganj Head Post Office, in a Duwa Mahfil and Discussion Meeting. The Duwa Mahfil and Discussion Meeting was held on the occasion of The National Mourning Day in Narayanganj Head Post Office on the 20th August 2019, with Manjurul Alam in chair. In his speech, Manjurul Alam described the biography of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in details- from birth to death. Besides, he spoke about the significance of the day.

A special prayer, conducted by Ali Afzal Khan, was offered for the salvation of the departed souls of the martyrs of the deadliest 15th August including Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Sheikh Fazilatun Nesa and Sheikh Russel. What is more, all the employees offered prayer for Sheik Hasina, Prime Minister of Bangladesh, so that she could  make  ‘Sonar Bangla’  leading  the country on the basis of ideals her father,  father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Read More: DC Visits Narayanganj Head Post Office Among other speakers, Deputy Post Master (DPM) of Narayanganj Head Post Office, Mehfujur Rahman, the Secretary of Bangladesh Post Office Employee Union- Narayanganj Unit, Tajul Islam, the Secretary of Bangladesh Postman and Employee Union,- Narayanganj Unit and Ali Afzal Khan spoke in the programme.   All of the employees including Md. Jalal Uddin Bepari, Junior Accountant of Narayanganj Head Post Office spontaneously attended the programme. 
Earlier, on the 15th August a ‘Mourning Rally’ was brought out, on the directive of Manjurul Alalm, from Narayanganj Head Post Office. The rally marched to Chasara, visiting different streets of the city, where people of all sections gathered to place flower wreaths at the portrait of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
