Would you mind (a) — (receive) my letter? I am extremely sorry for (b) —- (be) late. Had I had any massage about your illness, I (c) —- (visit) you. Believe me, since my return from Australia, I have got myself (d) — (encourage) in raising awareness among people (e) — (send) their daughters to school. In this country, girls (f) —- (deprive) of proper education and guidance. Due to lack of education, they (g) —- (not know) what they (h) —- (need). For years, they (i) —- (neglect) in society.

ব্যাখ্যা: Mind, would you mind, worth, past, can not help, could not help – এর পরে Verb এর সহিত ing যোগ হয়।
অতএব Answer: (a) receiving
2. I am extremely sorry for (b) —- (be) late.
ব্যাখ্যা:in/of/for/with/without/before/after প্রভৃতি Preposition- এর পরে Verb এর সহিত ing যোগ হয়।
অতএব Answer: (b) being.

ব্যাখ্যা:Sentence-এ lf/Had যুক্ত clauseটি Past perfect Tense হলে অপর অংশটিতে Subject-এর পরে অর্থভেদে would have/could have/might have বসে এবং verb-এর past participle হয়।
অতএব Answer: (c) would have visited
lf/Had যুক্ত clauseটি Past Indefinite Tense হলে অপর clause-এর Subject-এর পরে would/could/might বসে এবং Verb -এর Present Form বসে।
(a) If he requested me, I (go)— there.

ব্যাখ্যা: এই Sentence টি দুটি গ্যাপ রয়েছে। গ্যাপ (d) এর পূর্বে আছে have got. তাই এখানে গ্যাপে verb এর participle হবে।
অতএব Answer: (d) engaged
গ্যাপ (e) লক্ষ্য করুন, I have got myself (d) — (encourage) in raising awareness among people (e) — (send) their daughters to school. একটি simple sentence. একটি Sentence এর দুটি Verb থাকলে দ্বিতীয় verb এর infinitive হয়।

ব্যাখ্যা: এই Sentence টি একটি Present Indfinite Tense এর Passive Voice. কেননা, এই দেশের মেয়েরা সঠিক শিক্ষা ও দিকনির্দেশনা থেকে বঞ্চিত। একটি স্বভাবিক ঘটনা। Passive Voice হওয়ায় Subject অনুযায়ী Auxiliary Verb -are হবে। এবং মূল Verb এর past Participle- deprived হবে।
Answer: (f) are deprived
6. Due to lack of education, they (g) —- (not know) what they (h) —- (need).
ব্যাখ্যা: পূর্বের Sentence এর ধারাবাহিকতায় এই Sentence টিও Present indefinite Tense এর Sentence. এখানে ২টি গ্যাপ আছে। গ্যাপ (g) এর Subject হচ্ছে they. অতএব Answer(g) do not know
আবার গ্যাপ (h) এর Subjectও they সুতরাং এখানেও Verb এর কোন Change হবে না। অতএব Answer (h) need.
7. For years, they (i) —- (neglect) in society.
ব্যাখ্যা: বাক্যটির অর্থ- বছরের পর বছর ধরে তাঁরা (নারীরা) সমাজে অবহেলিত। এ Sentence টিও Present Indefinite Tense এর Passive Voice. সুতরাং Answer (i) are neglected.
