ব্যাখ্যা: প্রদত্ত Sentence টি who Relative Pronoun যুক্ত একটি Sentence. এখানে who এর Antecedent হলো The people অর্থ্যাৎ এই The people এর Person ও Number এর উপর ভিত্তি করেই পরের Clause এর Verb নির্ধারিত হবে। যেহেতু The people হলো 3rd Person Plural, তাই পরের Verb গুলো Plural হবে। এখনে বলা হচ্ছে The people = মানুষজন; who= যারা; are honest= সৎ। আচ্ছা এখন বলুন তো- মানুষজন যারা সৎ, তারা কী করে বা তাদের সুবিধা কী? সৎ মানুষেরা জীবনে সফল হয়। তাহলে গ্যাপে আমরা always succeed in life ব্যবহার করতে পারি। অতএব আমাদের উত্ত হলো:

(b)Because of greenhouse effect, the climate ____.
ব্যাখ্যা: এখনে বলা হচ্ছে- গ্রিন হাউজ প্রভাব এর কারণে জলবায়ু সংক্রান্ত কী ঘটে, সেটি ব্যবহার করে Sentence টি Complete করতে হবে। একটি বিষয় সবসময় মনে রাখবেন- Because of এর ঠিক পরেই একটি Phrase বসে। যা একটি কারণ বুঝায়। এবং এরপরই একটি ফলাফল যুক্ত Clause ব্যবহৃত হয়। আমরা সবাই মোটামুটি জানি গ্রিন হাউজ ইফেক্টের কারণে বিশ্বব্যাপী জলবায়ু পরিবর্তন হচ্ছে। তাহলে আমরা গ্যাপে is changing all over the world ব্যবহার করতে পারি। অতএব আমাদের উত্তর হলো:

ব্যাখ্যা: প্রদত্ত Sentence টিতে বলা হয়েছে You cannot shine in life= তুমি জীবনে উন্নতি করতে পারবে না। কেন উন্নতি করতে পারবে না? কারণ হিসেবে অনেক কিছু হতে পারে। আমরা কারণ হিসেবে বলতে পারি- যদি কঠোর পরিশ্রম না করো।
Answer: You cannot shine in life if you do not work hard.
(d) Overeating is harmful to health. It is high time ___.
ব্যাখ্যা: It is high time এরপর দুইভাবে Sentence Complete করতে হয়। একটি হলো: It is high time এরপর to + verb যুক্ত phrase দিয়ে বাক্যটি Complete করতে হয়। যেমন: It is high time to study hard. অন্যটি হলো: It is high time এরপর যদি অন্য আরেকটি Subject থাকে, তবে ২য় Subject এরপর Past Tense ব্যবহার করে Sentcence টি Complete করতে হবে। যেমন: It is high time you studied hard. যেহেতু প্রদত্ত Sentence টিতে It is high time এরপর যেকোন একটি Structure বসিয়ে Sentence টি Complete করবো। তাহলে আমাদের উত্তর হলো:
Answer: Overeating is harmful to health. It is high time we changed our food habit/to change our food habit.

ব্যাখ্যা: বলা হচ্ছে There goes a proverb যার অর্থ: একটি প্রবাদ আছে; that morning অর্থ্যাৎ মর্নিং নিয়ে একটি প্রবাদ আছে। প্রবাদটি হল morning shows the day. যার অর্থ: উঠন্তি মূলা পত্তনেই চেনা যায়।
Answer: There goes a proverb that morning shows the day.

ব্যাখ্যা: Though/ although অর্থ যদিও। Though/although বিপরীতার্থ বুঝনোর জন্য ব্যবহৃত হয়। এখানে বলা হচ্ছে I work hard although= আমি কঠোর পরিশ্রম করি যদিও। এখনে আমরা বিপরীতার্থ বুঝনোর জন্য কেমন Clause ব্যবহার করতে পারি? আমরা এখানে I have limitations./I am physically unfit ব্যবহার করলে, বাক্যটি যথাযথ হয়।
Answer: I work hard although I have limitations./I am physically unfit.
(g) No sooner had I reached the college ____.
ব্যাখ্যা: বাক্যের প্রথমে No sooner had আছে। No sooner had যুক্ত বাক্যের বাংলা অর্থ কোন কিছু করতে না করতে/ কোন কিছু দেখতে না দেখতে। । এর Structure টি হলো No sooner had + subject + Verb এর Past Participle + extension + than + subject + Verb এর Past Form + Extension.
Scarcely/hardly/barely had + subject + Verb এর Past Participle + extension + when + subject + Verb এর Past Form + Extension. অতএব প্রদত্ত Sentence টির গ্যাপে Past Indefinite Tense যুক্ত Clause বসাতে পারি। উত্তর হবে than the assembly started.
Answer: No sooner had I reached the college than the assembly started.

ব্যাখ্যা: দেখেন এখানে বলা হয়েছে I wish এরপর গ্যাপটি পুরন করতে হবে। মনে রাখতে হবে: wish এরপর be Verb হলে were বসে; have verb হলে had বসে; আর মূল verb হলে could + মূল verb বসে।
এখানে বলা হয়- আমাদের দেশে অনেক গরিব মানুষ আছে। এরপর আছে: I wish= আমি যদি। আমি যদি কী? আমি যদি তাদের সাহায্য করতে পারতাম। তাহলে এখানে আমরা I could help them বসালে বাক্যটি যথাযথ হয়। অতএব
Answer: There are so many poor people in our country. I wish I could help them.
(i) Inspite of having all facilities, the boy ____.
ব্যাখ্যা: বাক্যের শুরুতে Inspite of আছে। Inspite of অর্থ সত্ত্বেও। Inspite of এরপর সাধারনত Phrase বসে। এবং এরপর একটি বিপরীতার্থক Clause বসে। প্রদত্ত Sentence টিতে বলা হয়: Inspite of having all facilities= সকল সুবিধা থাকা সত্ত্বেও; the boy —-. অর্থ্যাৎ the boy টি যেন কী করতে পারেনি। আমরা যদি বলি ছেলিটি সফল হতে পারেনি- তাহলেই Sentence টি অর্থপূর্ণ হয়। অতএব the boy failed to succeed.
Answer: Inspite of having all facilities, the boy failed to succeed.

ব্যাখ্যা: Sentence টিতে বলা হয়: The old man= বৃদ্ধ লোকটি। এরপর আছে গ্যাপ। গ্যাপের পরে আছে is my grandfather = আমার দাদা। এখানে একটি Relative Pronoun বসিয়ে Sentence টিকে Complete করতে হবে। যেহেতু The old man একটি ব্যক্তিবাচক Subject, তাই Relative Pronoun হিসেবে who বসাতে হবে। আমরা who is walking বসালে বাক্যটি যথাযথ হবে। অথবা আমরা সঙ্গতিপূর্ণ যেকোন Clause ব্যবহার করতে পারি।
Answer: The old man who is walking is my grandfather.
